Double Leg Takedown

Well for my first post I decided I would start with something that has a high completion percentage so I chose the double leg takedown.  The goal is to contol your opponent and just like the name says take them down.  There are countless ways of accomplishing this but I have always had success with these fundamental steps.

 Step 1

lower position or level.
Its really important to remember to lower your hips and bend your knees, dont bend over with just your back

Step 2
Duck walk into your opponent.
The duck walk is just a slang term it basically means to drop your lead knee into the mat.
Step 3
Control both opponents legs with a double arm grab(basically bear hug them)









Step 4
Swing outside leg around or cut the corner while pulling both your opponents legs into you.
Using your grip and head position counter balance your opponent while lifting their weight off the mat.


Step 5
Drive your opponent into the mat
